I love California! The stillness on the beaches and in the forests are in great contrast to the hectic action on the interstates. I am sure my contact with nature on all counts feeds into my work, whether visible or unseen, whether representational enhanced photography or the non-objective oil paintings and works on paper. I embrace technology without feeling any risk. Dean Dr. Pat Gerster has mentioned the quality of the Renaissance in me, in my work and in my teaching.
