KATHRYNARNOLD

8th Street Studio

My 8th Street Studio and its day to day, or maybe it will be week to week digression on my studio issues, art thoughts, and the duality experience between conceptual/rational and nonconceptual/intuitive. Grid and ground contained all within.

Studio Log

12-29-05

Looking to see what I had done in here since I last wrote. It has been over 6 months since writing. Have been in a few shows and did open studios this year in October. A black and white piece is up at 49 Geary in Urbis Artium right now. I did the monoprint marathon with the ICA in San Jose and my print sold at the ICA monoprint show, maybe that was way last spring!!, this fall, a group exhibit at Ligne Roset, the faculty exhibition at West Valley College and participated in another Last Cafe Salon Exhibition in San Francisco at SoMArts.

This next year 2006 I should have works up in San Jose, ISEA 2006 (fingers crosseed on that one), Downtown San Francisco with Casey and Associates and a corporate showing in East Bay with Shelley Barry Art Consultants.

Over the fall I completed a set of 6 20 x 20 inch paintings on canvas and a few black and white works on paper, large. I will be shooting everything in the nar future.

I have begun a large 5.5 x 7' painting. I am working on my Manet overlay begun 10 years ago. Working also on the 100 piece pieces, #7 and 8. Should be complete this spring as it is almost there, just decisions to be made!!

Ideas I am working with will be posted soon; right now they are in my sketchbook. Idea to just scan the pages from my sketchbook and put them here.

A lot to do and the time to really focus.
